Learn the Basics: I will go over the basics of how to create a painting: Materials, Composition, Drawing, Values, and Color.
Blocking in Shapes: Learn how to identify bigger shapes, rather than the details.
Adding Color: Learn how to identify and mix colors and apply them to your painting.
Adding Details: Add the smaller details last - and maybe even adding something that you don't see!
When: May 30th, 2026 at 4pm EST
Where: We’ll meet at a location that is local to Southern York County, Pennsylvania - TBD
Cost: $85/person
Some materials will be available, but please supply your own of the following:
Water mixable oils OR traditional oils: Primary colors (Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow, Ultramarine Blue) + Titanium White
Medium (not required)
Painting surface: Canvas, Linen, Oil Painting Paper or Sheets (Keep it no larger than 11×14in)
Brushes
Easel (standing or tabletop)
Paper towels
Trash bag
Hat, sunglasses, sun protection
